Hello and welcome to my first post on my brand new website. It’s daunting and exciting in equal measure.
Today is my last day as an employee at NHS Vale of York CCG. I’ve been a Commissioning and Transformation Manager for the last two years, having been in other NHS commissioning and delivery roles for the preceding 8 years too. I’m feeling really grateful for the experience and opportunities I have had working for the NHS for the last 10 years. I’m genuinely very privileged to have worked with some wonderful and very talented people during my time at the PCT, CSU and then CCG (the NHS loves a good acronym, doesn’t it!). Coming from a family of NHS nurses, pharmacists and (dare I say it) managers, the NHS is part of who I am and I know that it will continue to be a big part of my career in the future too.
Now it’s time for me to take my first steps into the next chapter of my career and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m so looking forward to exploring the different ways that I can get involved in, and contribute to, our local and national healthcare systems on a freelance basis. I can’t wait to get started on some new projects to channel my passion for innovation, reducing health inequalities, and supporting communities to live well for longer.
I’d like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Andrew Jones for designing my logo, branding and building my website. From the outset, he completely understood my vision for the company and the website. He was borderline telepathic when it came to designing the branding and logo – it’s everything I imagined, only better.
There will be much more happening in the coming months, so keep checking the blog for more news and insights and in the meantime, please contact me if you would like to discuss the services I can offer.
